10 simple ways to get your website listed quickly by Google
Here are 10 simple ways to get your website listed quickly by Google:
1. Start a Blog - Google loves RSS and blog websites. If you have an existing website - install a blog on a sub-domain or sub-directory.
2. Never submit your website directly to Google. Do not use third party sources to submit your website because you may get spammed.
3. Download the Google Toolbar - make your website your homepage, and enable PageRank. Download the Alexa toolbar (IE only).
4. Make a profile on MyBlogLog - enter your blog and create a profile. Visit other blogs and install the MyBlogLog widgets on your site to track visitors to your site. You will get instant traffic!
5. Install a few social bookmark widgets to your blog and to each blog post. We recommend Digg.
6. Using the Google Toolbar, find a website with a Google PageRank of 5 or higher that will let you post a link to your website in a comment or message board. Do not spam a message-board or blog - post a unique comment or link to your site that provides value. Check the source code of the links on the site to make sure that each link already posted does not already contain “no-follow”. If the links on that page do have “no-follow” your link will not be counted by Google.
7. Provide unique original content daily on your website - make your website so cool that other websites will want to link to you.
8. Stay away from “link farms”. Get other high PageRank websites to link to your website directly and without “no-follow”.
9. Sign up for Technorati and post their widget on your blog. Tag your blog posts with relevant categories so that Technorati can search and index your site.
10. Get into the Yahoo directory. A Yahoo Directory endorsement helps even though it is expensive ($299 per year) will help your website to get listed quickly in Google.
